I came across this interesting article on PM Hut this morning which gives consideration to how to deal with the consequences of project failure. It was interesting to me because we are in the process of reviewing much or our communication materials with the outside world at the moment. We talk a lot about how effective change planning help our clients deliver change successful within their organisation but its a sobering thought that nothing is foolproof, even the ideal plan.
The idea of moving on when projects fail has particular resonance for me. I think very often the focus can be dwelling on the past and what might have been, rather than adapting and learning from these type of experiences.
