How not to create and deliver an elevator pitch

The elevator pitch is an important part of the change communication process as it allows key information to be easily communicated to those affected by the change. A good elevator speech contains the following elements:

  1. It tells a story – “We can’t stay here because...”
  2. Provides direction – what’s in it for me and what do you want me to do?
  3. Avoids jargon -The information should relate to your audience, so they can easily absorb it
  4. It's been tested – if your family understands it, and remembers it, you’re off to a good start

Or, you could throw all this advice out the window and do this:
